Changing Titles

First I thought about it when I made the following two screencaps.  I smiled and forgot it. During the last months I had two or three more ideas. Now at last I wrote every episode’s title on a piece of paper and started to look for some fitting screencaps.

I chose screencaps which go nicely with an episode they don’t belong to. While joining titles and non-matching screencaps I had the greatest fun of all times preparing an I Spy posting. Still not every combination is funny - some are serious, and some may be *really* bad puns.

Oh, one another thing: sometimes I think the way American's and European's (or German's) way of funny-thinking is partly different. So just tell me which title works for you and which doesn’t. Might be interesting – and I am much more nosy than touchy ;-)

I like "One of Our Bombs is missing Pt. 1" too - maybe you don't know the scene: Scotty and Kelly are looking at an artist's drawing and he explains them *tries to remember it correctly* something about painting the end of the world in his picture.. But he adds, he didn't paint the atom bomb into it.

I like "Patrick Henry" too *g*. The original episode is very serious, and maybe it's a bit disrespectful, but I couldn't resist ;-).

Ah - "The Gift from Alexander"... first I only found Part 1 and smiled. After a while I had chosen the first three and grinned. And when I looked at Pt. 4, I had to laugh out loud - the whole thing had become a short slashy story.

I'm really glad you had fun, and that way I learned the right word for the thing I did: "mashup" *tries to keep it in mind*.

My favorite is apart from "A Gift from Alexander" the last one: "Tag, You're It": Kelly as a victim in both episodes which has to be hunted and brought down. I like the original scene very much, with the priest talking to him: "What is a man like you doing unmarried anyway?" and at once Kelly has a look at Scotty ;-).

I hope you get well *very* soon (perhaps with some hot milk with honey? - I don't know if it is popular where you live)!

The "So Long" is SO NAUGHTY, aieeee! And the "gift" - you are - ohhhhh! And The Lotus Eater, with that wonderfully sad Eartha Kitt, made me sober up at once and go AWWWW. and then the other ones had me giggling again.

And yes, they are SO MARRIED.

this is what comes of you not studying the source material: "The Lotus Eater" is the one where Kelly is unknowingly on groovy drugs in the Greek Isles ...

"The Loser" is the one with Eartha Kitt, and which was a Culp episode.

The confusion is understandable, and even excusable, but somewhat disappointing.

You don't seriously think I've not been cramming for the test, do you? Of course I know that Lotus Eater is the one with Irena. (for which I've written, what is it, three silly fanfics?) "groovy drugs" - hee! 'Tis you, my fine friend, who have not studied the photos Brigitte has up - she deliberately used that title with the photo of Eartha Kitt, and it's pretty chilling to think of her fate. Kelly's, probably, if Scotty hadn't been able to get him off the drugs, and, oh crap, I feel a fic coming on...

"So long" and "Gift" indeed were meant naughty! Btw: it's the same with the "Court Of The Lion" - if you have a real look at the pic you will see that the lion doesn't sleep tonight *g*, but is half awake.

sorry for the delay -- I do like all the "Alexander" ones, and I like "so Coldly Sweet" just because I love that scene from "Nowhere" at the outdoor diner thing.

Oh! the "mashup" word is typically used for a video that combines two different fandoms, or two different bits of stock footage, or ... anyhow, I'm not sure I've seen it used in this context (but then, most people don't get such brillian ideas, to put episode titles on appropriate caps from other episodes!) but it seemed to fit.

Finally, I was taught to avoid milk when I'm sick ... but there is a LOT of tea with honey (and, cuz I want it, some milk).

As a longtime bronchitis sufferer, I think the thing about milk is because it is slightly expectorant - promotes mucus, and stuff. I don't think you need to worry about it if you have a regular cold - or if you need to bring stuff up ;)

*looks up expectorant* - ah, yes! *looks up promotes mucus* - erm, that's a little embarrassing now... I thought "promotes mucus" was something Latin... "Promotes" could have been a greek god, couldn't he? No, he couldn't *sigh*.

I think it was a very young kid in this screencap with just a little weight, and he touched the crown jewels only at the edge...

One question left: "The Room with a Rack" - does the screencap fit in or wouldn't one use the word "rack" for the beds they are lying on?

You know I'm just able to write better in English if people tell me honestly when I'm wrong or inappropriate. No one does it. Everyone is polite and nice. Why can't some people be polite *and* honest if I am writing weird things? I know everybody understands what I am saying. But I want to sound it as English. Or American.

(Hmpf. Sorry. In the last break I just wrote down what I'm thinking for some time. Accidentally I ran across you...)

P-S. I just tried to find a dictionary German-Egypt somewhere, and I wasn't lucky. The only words I found were in Wikipedia:
"miš ḥatʾullu" - You won't tell him?
"ana miš mitgawwiz" - I'm not married
"raglēn" - two men
"ʾutt in-nōm"- bedroom

Seems to me it's enough to write a story about *gg*
