Dorinda asked for some suggestions about screencaps/scenes for a vid made by friends of her.

That was terrible - I found myself in front of a huge mountain of indecision! ;-) But it was so much fun (as always) to choose some pics/scenes. I made very small screenshots, it's probably quicker than to describe everything.

It would be interesting to listen to other suggestions, I think everyone has a bit different angle of view.

Ideas for complete scenes

I Spy fans with eagle eyes! Some friends of mine are making a (secret) vid, and they would love to be able to include a few clips of Kelly and Scotty. If you can think of relevant shots/sequences from the show, would you be willing to pitch in and mention them?

Here are the sorts of visuals they’re looking for:

* Bare skin! The more the better.
* Bathing suits.
* Getting undressed.
* Dancing (well or poorly or wildly or any old way).
* Silly outfits.
* Acting silly.
* Acting slutty.
* Strutting and proud.
* Looking super-hot and sexy.

What are your favorite shots or scenes? Remember that the dialogue won’t be in the vid, so context in the plot doesn’t matter. It’s allllll about the visuals here.

Any thoughts?

Older_Not_Dead is a community, where... ah, I think I just quote a little bit:

"This Community is a mixture of the challenge community / ficathon / commentathon / storyathon / promptathon - with one exception: each half of the pairing, in the stories, has to be aged forty or older. It doesn't mean that they have to be forty in the television series, film, book, whatever, just that in the story they have to be over forty."

There was a call for the "Promptathon 08", the theme is "Winter". I wrote an I Spy prompt for writers/artists with the item "White". (Erm... seems to me it isn't very inventive for winter, but I was in a hurry and it was the last day for prompts).

So if anyone wants to write a story... *makes puppy eyes*.

I discovered it while I was looking through those journals which have I Spy as one of their interests (I thought about making some advertisement *g*).

The last entry in this journal is dated 2003. I wrote a comment and started to read the entries with the episode descriptions. I hope someone is reading my comment and has a connection to I Spy ;-)

Everybody still alive ;-) ?

Let's collect some names Scotty and Kelly call each other. Here it is "Captain Midnight" and "Herman".

I Spy *is* a small fandom. Their rule is: no more than 2.000 fanfics.

"Sir"

Brushing my teeth in the morning I was wandering about "Sir" as an address between Kelly and Scotty.

It was one form of address between so many others, but was it common in the 60s to call a black man "Sir"? I wondered if they were breaking a taboo with this word, too.

Just to make this entry a little more entertaining - a screenshot of Kelly while he is calling Scotty (who takes a bath) "Sir".

Kelly: "I beg your pardon. Is it a little warm for you, sir?"
Scotty: "My legs are melting."

I was watching "Home To Judgment" today and was facinated by the bits of Kelly's childhood revealed in the episode, which left me longing for pre-series fanfiction of that nature.
So, my question is, is there any Little!Kelly fanfiction out there and if so could anyone kindly point me in it's direction? :)

So, the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] potztausend  suggested to me that we add a 'Links' bar at the side of the comm page, linking to fan fiction. I thought it was a great idea, and suggested we expand this to links in general, such as the famous Pimping Post by Lamardeuse, or the TrueTrue mailing list, or the I Spy forum on the Television Without Pity site, or the Network54 forum. Just - if it's out there, and it's I Spy, link it. I would LOVE to have an exhaustive list. Then people can see what's out there, and choose their favourite flavour.

Only snag? I've lost all my bookmarks and my links to pretty much everything, as I've just got a new computer. So I'm asking for help: this is an open request to the comm, asking everybody to submit their story URLs and also non-fic URLs. Note I'm not asking for story *recs* - quality isn't an issue here, I just want there to be a place where you can see what's available and then make your own judgment. (Not to say that all our authors and collectors aren't terrific, because they are!!!)

So, help! Any URL that gets put in the comments gets added to the left-hand-side 'Links' page, which will appear as soon as there's some content to it (and unless I inadvertently delete the entire comm, which I wouldn't put it past my ruinous abilities to do... :(  let's hope not...)

Thanks in advance!

Inspired by a comment by [livejournal.com profile] livintvland, who said she was hooked after the very first episode she saw, I was assailed by an insane curiosity about my fellow-fans' experiences:

1. What was the very first I Spy episode you remember watching? (I'm not asking 'what was the first ep you watched?' since for most old school fans that was so far in the past as to need a diary written in cuneiform.)

2. What was the ep that made you realize there was no turning back?

3. ...And WHY? (the fun part)

I'm dying to know!
